The Hirschmann SPIDER III PoE Series Rail Switch with premium options features a USB configuration interface for the fast and easy configuration of individual port parameters. The application parameters can be configured easily by using the highly intuitive Switch Programming Tool. The Switch Programming Tool is a Windows-based configuration tool that allows the users to generate configuration files, which are then transferred through a USB drive. The SPIDER III PoE Series Rail Switch supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) according to the IEEE 802.3af standards. It allows for the connection of remote power supplies to terminal devices such as sensors, webcams, printer servers, and WLAN via the 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX twisted-pair ports. The SPIDER III PoE Series Rail Switch is supplied with either 3-pin or 6-pin plug-in terminal blocks with spring-clamp terminals. It has an operating voltage range between 18 and 32 Volts DC and a power consumption rating of up to 9 Watts.
