The Hirschmann SPIDER II Giga 5T/2S EEC PRO Entry-Level Industrial Ethernet Rail Switch (with PROFINET Conformance Class A) is a full Gigabit Ethernet switch with QoS support that is designed to provide a reliable and flexible solution for all industrial Ethernet switch applications. This DIN Rail-mounted unmanaged switch belongs to the Hirschman SPIDER II line of Ethernet unmanaged switches that are designed to provide an economical yet reliable switch solution as well as to provide long-term flexibility and reliability even in different kinds of harsh industrial conditions. The SPIDER II Giga 5T/2S EEC PRO Switch is designed to meet industry standards such as the c-UL508 standards. The SPIDER II Giga 5T/2S EEC PRO Switch has a 3-pin plug-in terminal block for simplified wiring.
The SPIDER II Giga 5T/2S EEC PRO Switch has five 10/100/1000 Megabit per second (Gigabit) RJ-45 Ethernet ports that support auto-crossing, auto-polarity, and auto-negotiation capabilities. With these ports, a connection is achieved via twisted pair cable with a maximum connection distance of 100 meters. The SPIDER II Giga 5T/2S EEC PRO Switch also has two 1000 Megabits per second fiber-optic ports (SFP) that support the full-duplex mode. The SFP fiber-optic port supports single and multimode operation over standard connection distances of 20 Kilometers and 550 meters, respectively. The SPIDER II Giga 5T/2S EEC PRO Switch supports DIN Rail mounting, and it comes with diagnostic LED indicators that provide data rate, link status, and power information. The SPIDER II Giga 5T/2S EEC PRO Switch is a Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) device with a 9.6 to 32 Volts DC acceptable operating voltage range and a maximum current of 275 milliamps. The SPIDER II Giga 5T/2S EEC PRO Switch has a total power rating of 6.6 Watts and a mean time between failure ratings of 1,001,113 hours.
