The SPIDER 5TX EEC switch is an unmanaged 5-port Hirschmann switch, which means that it can be put into operation straight out of the box without any configuration. Each of the 5 switch ports support 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps data transmission rates. The physical port interface is the RJ-45 interface. The SPIDER 5TX EEC switch is an entry level industrial switch which is DIN rail-mounted. The cable type recommended for use with the SPIDER 5TX EEC switch is twisted pair copper network cable with a maximum length of 100 meters. The SPIDER 5TX EEC switch uses the store and forward Ethernet switching modes. All network topologies are supported, including the line and star topologies. Hirschmann recommends that the installation, commissioning, and operation of the switch be performed by trained technicians only.
