The RSP20-8TX/3SFP-2A switch is a managed configurator switch that has been designed and manufactured by Hirschmann. It is designed to be flexible and to support several different redundancy protocols for maximum uptime. These redundancy protocols include the FuseNet protocol, the Device Level Ring or DLR protocol, the High-availability Seamless Redundancy or HSR protocol, and the Parallel Redundancy Protocol or the PRP. The RSP20-8TX/3SFP-2A managed configurator switch is made to support Ethernet communication, and it can handle Fast Ethernet communication. It is made for easy DIN Rail mounting and it has a fanless design. This configurator switch has an SD card slot and it supports the V.24 interface with an RJ11 socket.

The Hirschmann RSP20-8TX/3SFP-2A managed Ethernet configurator switch comes with 11 Ethernet ports. Eight of these 11 ports are RJ45 or 10/100BASE-TX ports, and the other 3 ports are SFP slots that are rated at 100 Mbits per second. All types of linear and star Ethernet network topologies are compatible with the RSP20-8TX/3SFP-2A managed Ethernet configurator switch. This switch can use a twisted pair or TP cable that is up to 100 meters long. Its storage temperature range is from -40 to 70 degrees Celsius while its operating temperature range is from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. The RSP20-8TX/3SFP-2A managed Ethernet configurator switch can tolerate 10 to 95% relative humidity without condensation in both operation and storage. The environmental protection rating of this configurator switch is IP 20 and its ESD immunity rating is 8 kilovolts of contact discharge and 15 kilovolts of air discharge.
