The RS30-2402T1T1SDAE switch is a managed rail switch that has been designed and manufactured by Hirschmann Automation. This switch has been designed to provide Ethernet connections to automation devices within a specific application process. This connection is meant to include all these pieces of equipment in the same network so they can communicate and share data as required by the application. This switch comes with enhanced software. The Hirschmann Automation RS30-2402T1T1SDAE managed rail switch comes with 24 ports that operate with a rated Ethernet data transfer rate of 10/100 Mbits per second and 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports that operate with a data transfer rate of 1000 Mbits per second. Usually, these 2 last ports are used with equipment that has the most demanding data transfer rates and they are meant to send higher loads of data to the main controller or equipment effectively.

The Hirschmann Automation RS30-2402T1T1SDAE managed rail switch operates with both a DC voltage source and an AC voltage source. The maximum voltage ratings of these voltage sources go from 9.6 to 60 Volts DC and 18 to 30 Volts AC, respectively. The AC and DC voltage are both provided by a terminal block that ship with the managed rail switch. Both the terminal block and the managed rail switch are meant to be mounted on a DIN Rail. The Hirschmann Automation RS30-2402T1T1SDAE managed rail switch operates with twisted-pair cables for making its connections and its main connectors are RJ45 connectors.
