This high-performance switch is designed to provide Ethernet network switching that conforms to the IEEE 802.3 standards. The RS20-0800T1T1SDAP Managed Switch is designed for the special requirements of industrial automation applications, and it is designed to meet all the industry-relevant standards and approvals. The RS20-0800T1T1SDAP Managed Switch is designed to provide reliable operation even in extreme industrial conditions. It comes with an effective thermal management technology that does not include a fan to offer long-term reliability and flexibility. The RS20-0800T1T1SDAP Managed Switch has a rugged and compact IP 20 rated protective metal housing that fits into tight spaces on a control panel and in power cabinets. The RS20-0800T1T1SDAP Managed Switch has a maximum port density of 8 total Ethernet ports (6 standard RJ45 ports and 2 twisted uplink ports) that support the store and forward switching modes. Each twisted-pair Ethernet port has an RJ45 socket and supports twisted pair cables that are up to 100 meters long.
The Hirschmann RS20-0800T1T1SDAP Managed Switch is designed to operate at low voltage. It supports connection to a SELV power supply. The RS20-0800T1T1SDAP Managed Switch has 2 power supply “Type-D” connectors labeled “P1” and “P2” for connections for redundant power operation. It also has a fault contact that can be used to monitor the basic switch functions and remote diagnostics. The RS20-0800T1T1SDAP Managed Switch supports software configuration via the industrial HiVision network management software and the Windows-based HiView and HiDiscovery software configuration tools. It also supports USB auto-configuration via a USB interface port. Port and device configuration functions such as IP addressing and basic commissioning can be carried out by using the “HiVision” network management software. The RS20-0800T1T1SDAP Managed Switch offers a media redundancy protocol that allows for high-availability with ring-shaped network structures that have user-selectable recovery times.
