The RS20-0800M2M2SDAE switch is a managed type of industrial Ethernet switch that has been designed and manufactured by Hirschmann as a member of the Hirschmann OpenRail RS20 series of industrial managed switches. The RS20-0800M2M2SDAE managed Ethernet switch and all of the OpenRail RS20 series managed switches are meant to be mounted on DIN Rails in industrial Ethernet systems. The RS20-0800M2M2SDAE managed Ethernet switch can handle a variety of simple and complex industrial applications that use the Ethernet network, including applications in the transportation, power transmission, power distribution, and the oil and gas industries. This switch also supports a variety of redundancy protocols that increase the Ethernet network availability and decrease downtime and data loss. The supported redundancy protocols include the Link Aggregation, Hiper Ring, and the MRP and RSTP parallel redundancy protocols.
