The RS20-0400T1T1SDAE industrial switch is a Hirschmann managed switch. It is designed for Ethernet communication and it is part of the Hirschmann RS20 product line of industrial switches. The RS20-0400T1T1SDAE managed Ethernet switch must be configured properly before it is activated and used, but it is easy to configure and customize quickly for all kinds of Ethernet-related industrial applications with the Layer 2 Enhanced Management software. This switch does not have any POE ports, but it comes with 4 RJ45 copper ports that support fast Ethernet, and 2 of these RJ45 copper ports are uplink ports. The RS20-0400T1T1SDAE managed Ethernet switch is made to be mounted easily and securely on a DIN Rail. It has been designed to be compact with dimensions of about 47 x 131 x 111 millimeters and it weighs about 1.1 pounds. 

The Hirschmann RS20-0400T1T1SDAE industrial managed Ethernet switch can operate in both the store switching mode and the forward switching mode. It can operate at temperatures between 32 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit or 0 and 60 degrees Celsius. It does not have a cooling fan. The RS20-0400T1T1SDAE managed Ethernet switch can handle both AC and DC voltage. Its AC voltage rating is 24 Volts AC and its DC voltage rating is 12 to 48 Volts DC. It can operate safely in all environments with a Class 1, Division 2 rating, and it is well-suited to applications in transportation and in the gas and oil industry.  The RS20-0400T1T1SDAE managed Ethernet switch has been certified by the CE and the cUL508 industrial standards, among others.
