The MS20-1600SAAP managed switch is an MS20 series industrial managed network switch manufactured by Hirschmann. There are a total of 16 Fast Ethernet ports on the switch which can be used for any network topology, including line and star topologies. Twisted pair network cables measuring up to 100 meters in length can be used with each of the network ports. In addition to the network ports, the MS20-1600SAAP managed switch has a USB interface, a V.24 interface, and 2 plug-in terminal blocks for signaling contacts. An operating manual and an instructions CD are provided with the switch. Only trained technicians should be involved in switch installation and operation and they should be aware of the safety and installation instructions contained in the operating manual. The MS20 product line is approved by the CE and cUL 508 standards. This switch is approved for use in Class 1 hazardous locations per the ISA 12.12.01 standards.
