The BRS50-8TX/4SFP managed switch is an industrial switch which belongs to the Bobcat product line from Hirschmann. It is designed for standard operating conditions which include a 0 to 60 degrees Celsius ambient temperature range and a 1 to 95% non-condensing relative humidity range. The operation of the switch according to the exact manufacturer specifications is dependent upon the proper handling, storage, and installation of the switch. During storage, the temperature of the air which surrounds the switch should be maintained between -40 and 70 degrees Celsius. The dimensions of the BRS50-8TX/4SFP managed switch are 73 x 138 x 115 millimeters. The switch comes in a fanless design with housing made of PC-ABS material. The weight of the switch is approximately 570 grams. The BRS50-8TX/4SFP managed switch mounts on an industrial DIN Rail. Dual DC input ranging from 12 to 24 Volts DC is required for switch operation.
The Hirschmann BRS50-8TX/4SFP switch is a managed switch and it supports a vast number of configurable features. An integrated USB-C management interface can be used for switch configuration. The BRS50-8TX/4SFP managed switch supports eight 101/100/1000BASE-TX ports and it has 4 slots which can be used for fiber SFPs. The fiber ports can support data rates of up to 2.5 Gbps. The BRS50-8TX/4SFP managed switch is certified by the CE, FCC, and EN61131. It complies with the cUL61010 standards for the safety of industrial control equipment.
