The BRS20-8TX/2FX-EEC switch is a managed type of real-time TSN Ethernet switch manufactured by Hirschmann. It allows for precise data transmission and high-speed data flow within the local industrial network. This managed industrial switch can be easily mounted on a DIN Rail. It is easy to install and replace when needed. This switch has a compact design and it is manufactured with a small but powerful form factor for efficiency and easy installation. It is powered with a voltage rating of 12/24 Volts DC. The switch has a fanless design. The front side of the BRS20-8TX/2FX-EEC managed Ethernet switch houses the Ethernet ports that are rated for different communication speeds. Along with the Ethernet ports, a USB Type C port and plug-in terminal block are also present on the front of this managed switch. All of these ports have their own LED indicators to show the port status to the users during operation.
The BRS20-8TX/2FX-EEC managed switch can be operated in an extended temperature range between -40 and 70 degrees Celsius. It has dimensions of 73 x 138 x 115 millimeters. It has been certified with the CE, FCC, EN, and other standards. The BRS20-8TX/2FX-EEC managed switch comes with advanced security features including a wire speed access control list (ACL) and automatic denial of service (DOS) prevention. This Ethernet network switch supports the Hirschmann Hiper ring redundancy protocols. The switch also helps to expand the bandwidth capabilities of the network easily by adjusting the SFPs for different application demands. The BRS20-8TX/2FX-EEC managed switch supports tri-speed fiber SFP slots with different network speeds. It has interoperability with different legacy systems for maximum flexibility and it is easy to upgrade. The switch has EMC interference immunity for protection from electrostatic discharge that is either discharge from direct contact or airborne discharge.
