The OZDV 2451 G device is a fiber converter device that has been designed and manufactured by Hirschmann. The OZDV 2451 G fiber converter is an interface fiber converter from the Hirschmann FiberINTERFACES series that is meant to be used for conversion applications with electrical/optical fiber interfaces. It supports quartz glass fiber systems that cover medium-distance communication applications. The OZDV 2451 G fiber converter is self-powered through its data signal and it uses multimode fiber cables. It can support different cable lengths with different link budgets, for example, it can support multimode fiber cables that are up to 1500 meters long with link budgets of 7.5 dB and multimode fiber cables that are up to 2000 meters long with link budgets of 10 dB.

The Hirschmann OZDV 2451 G fiber converter from the FiberINTERFACES series can either be mounted on the terminal block of the interface that it is working with through the Sub-D socket on the terminal block or it can be mounted on a DIN Rail with the appropriate DIN Rail adapter accessories. Its normal current consumption rating is 3.3 milliamps via the data signal, and its maximum current consumption rating is 3.8 milliamps. Its power consumption rating is 20 milliwatts at 4.5 Volts. The operating voltage ranges supported by the OZDV 2451 G fiber converter through its data signal are -20 to -5 Volts and 5 to 20 Volts depending on the application. The fiber converter’s operating temperature range is from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius while its storage temperature range is from -20 to 70 degrees Celsius.
