The OZD Profi 12M P11 PRO Repeater Module is an electrical/optical interface converter made by Hirschmann in the FiberINTERFACES series. It is specifically designed to convert an electrical signal into an optical signal. It has a redundant feed for increasing the operational safety of the system. This module has 2 mutually independent ports for reliable operation. The OZD Profi 12M P11 PRO Repeater Module supports all transmission speeds, which are set automatically. It acts as a passive element when it is switched on. The current consumption rating of the module is 200 milliamps. It can be used to build a complete PROFIBUS fieldbus network in a line, star, or ring topology. The OZD Profi 12M P11 PRO Repeater Module comes with several switches on the top of the module that are used for selecting the operating mode.    

The OZD Profi 12M P11 PRO Repeater Module has an 18 to 32 Volts DC maximum operating voltage. It is a short-haul type of repeater module that is designed for plastic fiber optic networks. It has an optical port with 2 sockets and an electrical port with a 9-pin Sub-D female connector. It has indicator LEDs for providing optical updates during operation. The power consumption rating of the OZD Profi 12M P11 PRO Repeater Module is 4.8 Watts. It provides two 5-pin terminal blocks for the power and signaling contact connections. It is designed to mount on a DIN Rail. The installation procedure of the module includes installing the repeater, setting up the operating mode and transmission power, connecting the optical and electrical cables, connecting the operating voltage supply, and checking the LED indicators. The users can easily remove the repeater from the DIN Rail by unlocking the snap lock with a screwdriver.
