Product Overview:
The Cisco Catalyst WS-C3850-12XS is powered by DNA (Digital Network Architecture), stackable with Ethernet, and accessible with Multi-gigabit Ethernet. It has integrated wireless controller capability up to 40G of wireless capacity per switch in the 48 ports RJ45 models. It has dual redundant, modular power supplies and three modular fans to provide redundancy. On all copper ports, there are 30W at PoE+.
Power Supply:
The Cisco Catalyst WS-C3850-12XS has fixed default AC power supply of 350WAC. The power supply type is PWR-C1-350WAC. There is also a DC power supply available of 440WDC with PoE capabilities for maximum flexibility. The power supplies are dual redundant, modular power supplies.

Power consumed by the Cisco Catalyst WS-C3850-12XS is 350WAC, 1207BTU per hour of AC power.
Power Capacity:
Each port can bear a maximum of 30W power (PoE+). Total PoE+ ports on this switch are 12. Total power supply available for this switch is 350WAC. For Cisco UPOE (Universal Power Over Ethernet), each port can bear a maximum of 60W power. UPOE is present in modular and field replaceable network modules, RJ-45 and downlinks interfaces.
Configuration:
The Cisco Catalyst WS-C3850-12XS has fixed internal power supply. Having 12 1Gigabit/10Gigabit SFP+ ports. The switch is stackable. The form factor of the switch is desktop, rack mountable. The power over Ethernet is PoE+.
Technical Specifications:
The flash memory available for this switch is 4GB (12 SFP+ ports and 24 SFP+ ports) and DRAM is 4GB for 12 SFP+ ports. The stacking bandwidth and switching capacity of the switch are 320Gbps and 480 Gbps respectively. Cisco IOS IP base software is installed. The system is Virtual Interfaces (VLANs) and VLAN IDs is 4000Gbps. Total Switched Virtual Interfaces (SVIs) are 1000 Gbps. Jumbo frame 9198 bytes.

High Touch Operation Management is available. The Cisco Smart Net is available for the Cisco Catalyst WS-C3850-12XS and has to be purchased separately. Advance hardware replacement and on-site parts replacement and installation are available.
