Product Overview:
WS-C3560X-48T-S is an enterprise class Ethernet Switch sold at a reasonable price by the Cisco Catalyst. It comes in a standalone and a stackable option and has 48 Ethernet ports. A reliable IP baseline IOS software system has been designed by Cisco to help enterprises efficiently control the switch.
Power Supply
This model of the switch has a default AC 350W power supply, but it also supports a double power supply operation. It has two power ports, the first of which must always be active, and you can insert an optional redundant power supply into the second slot.
Power Capacity
The current model of the switch does not support PoE (Power over Ethernet), so it cannot power additional devices through its ports. This lowers the switch power consumption 468making it more efficient for networks.
Configurations
The default configuration for WS-C3560X-48T-S includes the switch with 48 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports that support Layer 3 protocol feature. The switch can be fit into 1 rack unit (RU). A 350W power supply is provided and the whole switch is controlled using IP Base software.
Stacking
This model of the switch can be optionally connected into a stack via special stacking cables. StackwisePlus technology makes the stack act as a single unit, controlled by a master switch. By using this technology with an IP Base IOS, you can stack up to 9 switches together. They will add and delete new member without interrupting the operation.
Tech Specs
The WS-C3560X-48T-S has 64 MB Flash memory and 256 MB DRAM. Its switching fabric is 160 Gbps. Every switch can hold up to 1000 VLANS with 4000 VLAN IDs and a forwarding rate up to 101.2 mpps.
