The Cisco Catalyst WS-C3560-48TS-S is an Ethernet SFP with 10/100/1000 fixed configuration. It supports the IEEE 802.3af standard of efficient Ethernet and is ideal for entrepreneurs to create corporate networks. The Cisco IOS firmware created specifically for the Cisco switches has Cisco network Assistant that helps the client manage the network easier.
Power Supply
This model of the switch has an internal 65W power supply as its base configuration. However, you can install an additional power supply into the RPS 2300 port that was implemented in the switch structure. The internal and redundant power supplies can both be mounted with a fan so that they do not get overheated.
Power Capacity
The WS-C3560-48TS-S is a Gigabit Ethernet switch that does not support the PoE (Power over Ethernet), so it means you can’t connect other devices to be powered by the switch. However, instead, the switch power consumption is extremely low (65W against 1100 W for most PoE switches) and the device provides outstanding bandwidth that is ideal for evolving networks that need exceptional performance.
Configurations
WS-C3560-48TS-S has 48 Ethernet 10/100 ports that support Layer 2 and 3 connections. It has 4 SFP-based Gigabit Ethernet ports as well. The whole switch with its internal power supply takes up only one rack unit (1RU) of space. The firmware included is the IP Base Feature set, that means, the network can support up to 4000 users per switch.
Stacking
The switches can be stacked via a 3560 SFP interconnect cable. Only up to 2 switches can be connected at one time, however, so it is recommended to use specialized chassis in order to create larger switching units.

The WS-C3560-48TS-S is a modern enterprise-grade switch. Its end of life (eol) was set to 2010 and the end of support (eos) to 2015. However, the switch is still widely used with the modern firmware used to manage the network.
