Product Overview:
The Cisco Catalyst C2960X-48FPD-L is a 24 Gigabit Ethernet port fixed configuration switch which is stackable via flexstack-plus and flexstack-extended. Operating on Cisco IOS LAN base software the WS-C2960X-48FPD-L switch is fully managed providing both layer 2 and layer 3 features and PoE+.
Power Supply
The Cisco Catalyst C2960X-48FPD-L features one fixed power supply and an optional redundant external power supply (PS).
Power Capacity
The switch has a max number of PoE+ ports of 24 ports up to 30 Watts and max number of PoE ports of 48 ports up to 15.4 Watts and an available PoE power of 740 Watts.
Configurations
The product configurations include 48 Gigabit ethernet ports with an uplink interface of 2 fixed 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ uplinks and a software features set of LAN base IOS software image. The switch is SFP compatible and requires regular updates, downloads and installations to the firmware and software to avoid vulnerabilities within the network.
Stacking
Stacking options for the switch include FlexStack-plus and Flex-stack extended. Both have a stack limit of 8 but differ in stack bandwidth. The FlexStack-Plus has a stacking bandwidth of 80 Gigabits per second while the FlexStack-Extended has a stacking bandwidth of 40 Gigabits per second. For all stacking modules stacking cables are required.
