The Arista DCS-7148S-R networking switch is designed to maintain high end networking operations without compromising on quality, efficiency and reliability. Being a 1RU redundant power switch, the product features ultra-low latency layer 2/3/4 Gigabit Ethernet data center modules for ultimate networking performance. Furthermore, users can completely customize the operation of Arista DCS-7148S-R switch because it supports multiple configurations and various networking projects.
Power Supply
The product features one fixed power redundancy scheme whereas the users can install up to 2 redundant power supplies simultaneously.
Power Capacity
The maximum power capacity of Arista DCS-7148S-R networking device is limited to AC 12/230 for which a frequency of 50-60 Hz is required. When operating completely, a power consumption rate of 360 W is achieved.
Configurations
Being a modular based networking switch, Arista DCS-7148S-R is designed by following a multi process state sharing architecture which allows users to perform In-service upgrades and perform stateful Fault repair as well. As it is made for high availability in terms of both hardware and software, the product features dual management ports which can be configured through Self healing software as well.
The Arista Extensible operating system is a single binary image for every feature set as it provides access to Linux tools, modular network OS and Stateful fault containment. Furthermore, user can also self-configure the product as per their networking requirements.
Technical Specifications
Coming over to the hardware properties of the Arista DCS-7148S-R networking switch, the device features state of the art technical aspects which deliver great performance and efficiency. The main hardware is based on Dual-core x86 CPU combined with 2GB DRAM, 1GB RAM and 2GB of flash memory. Moreover, users can now take benefit from 16 10GbE ports per link aggregation capacity for all sorts of routing assignments.
Supporting both Layer 2 and Layer 3 features, the product includes 100/1000 Management port along with RS-232 Serial Console Port which are all configurable through VMware Auto Discovery as well. The overall dimensions of the DCS-7148S-R networking switch are limited to 44 x 4.4 x 51.5 cm with a total packaging weight of 13.2 kg.
