The Arista (DCS-7050S-52-F) is a switch that offers speed layer of 2, 3, 4 with performance of 10Gbe with 52 or 64 ports in compact chassis 1RU. This switch has 48SFP+ and 4QSFP+ interfaces where rest offers 52 SFP+ interfaces. It also has a SSD support built-in advanced logging, capture data and other features in the switch.
Performance
The Arista switch 7050 series has 48x1 /10GbE and 4x40GbE ports with 1.28 terabits per second transfer bandwidth of 960 million packets per second and wire speed available L2 and L3 forwarding layer and 800ns to 1.2us latency. It is connected by RJ-45 and SFP+. VMware vShpere support is available with auto-discovery, Host-view, adaptive segmentation. It provides an9 extensible platform to access Linux tools, strafeful fault repair, fine-grained modularity and single binary image.
Networking
The switch has a MAC address table size of 128k entries and comes under network hubs and switches category. It is rack mountable switch composed of 9216 bytes of jumbo frame support.
